If you’re a slow planner and a late shopper, don’t fret. To get you prepared for the holiday spirit, our Sassy elves have put together a list of upcoming fairs, festivals and bazaars in the 852. Whether you’re seeking Christmas comfort food, looking to spread some cheer or hunting for a quirky gift, this guide has the best deals around town to help you get your shopping done in a fix (and perhaps snag a little bargain for yourself!).

The Christmas and Lifestyle Fair

The first in a series of festive fairs by Prestige Events at the Conrad, this one bursts with gift inspiration! Merchandise stalls from more than 150 vendors will showcase fashion, accessories, gourmet bites, Hong Kong themed gifts and more, including some of our favourites such as homeware and jewellery company Keep It Simple, tea expert Teapigs, silk flower wreaths from The Silk Flower Company and chocolatiers Schoggi Meier. Shoppers who enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge will get a 15% discount (just pick up the voucher from the Prestige table when you arrive).

JWA Annual Charity Bazaar

Get started on the festivities as you spread love with the JWA Annual Bazaar, where all proceeds go to charities supporting women and children in need. Shop the large selection of clothing, housewares, toys and bags – they’ve got something for everyone – and don’t forget to grab a bite while you’re at it.

When: Sunday, 19 November, 10am to 5pm

Swire Properties White Christmas Street Fair

Swire Properties’ annual community favourite is back! Opt for a white Christmas at this neighbourhood street fair filled with fun games, delicious comfort food and of course, tons of shopping! Don’t worry if you can’t make it to this one, another fair will take place at Taikoo Place on Tong Chong Street from 30 November to 2 December. In the meantime, release your inner artist and take part in a drawing contest themed under ‘Rediscovering Christmas’ at this street fair.

The Repulse Bay Christmas Fair 2017

Want to do a spot of Christmas shopping with a beautiful view of the ocean? Head to Repulse Bay on Sunday, 26 November to get in the festive spirit with a host of stalls selling everything from Christmas decorations, and home accessories, to children’s gifts, handicrafts, jewellery, and more.

Christmas markets in Hong Kong: City Kids

Discovery Bay Sunday Market

Hop on a ferry and head to the Discovery Bay Sunday Market, well known for its arts and crafts stalls. You’re sure to find something for yourself or a special someone. And, when the post-shopping hunger hits, enjoy dinner at one of the designated restos at the D’Deck and you’ll be treated to a free ferry ride back to the Island.

Holiday Bazaar at The American Club

Southside girls, brace yourselves! The American Club is back at it for some jolly good fun this season. Beat the seasonal shopping rush and get your gifts bought and out of the way as you browse top-quality vendors while sipping on some complimentary bubbly. If you can’t make it to this one, there’s another one in December.

Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar

Danish pastries, anyone? Check out the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar, which promises to be full of these traditional sweet delights! Shop from designer brands, while feeding on Swedish treats, pick up those all-important decorations and ornaments, and enjoy some live music. Your buying power will do more than a little good, as all profits go to the Danish Seaman’s Church in Hong Kong.

The Prestige Events shopping fair returns to The Conrad with its second winter fair this season. In addition to the all the pop-ups, this gift parade will also have plenty of jewellery, fashion, accessories, gourmet food, homewares and even items for the nieces and nephews on your list. The Hullet House’s joyful weekend returns to TST for its sixth year running. St. Stephen’s Chapel Christmas Fete in Stanley

Brining a traditional English fête (with a taste of Hong Kong!) to Stanley, St. Stephen’s Chapel Christmas fair will feature a plethora of charity stalls, along with bouncy castles, a Santa’s Grotto, games, and plenty of food and drinks. Santa will even be arriving by helicopter at 12.30pm!

Sai Kung Markets

Sai Kung Sunday Markets are back this December for its annual Christmas market! It’s a great day out with artisanal food and crafts, jewellery, wine, accessories, children’s clothing and more! It’s indoors and fully air-conditioned (thankfully, considering HK’s erratic weather!), so you won’t work up a sweat with all that shopping.
